CESAR MILLAN

Today we are on our way home to cooler climes. Rome has been absolutely fantastico ! The people, the food, the wine, the history, the heat, and of course the beauty of those magnificent buildings, monuments and statues, not only has it been an adventure, but also a history lesson too.

So we have six hours to kill before we have to make our way to the airport, so we hopped on a bus and went to Villa Borghese. It was originally a vineyard in the 16 century and in 1605, cardinal Scipiose Borghese, the nephew of Pope Paul V turned it into a park with statues, fountains, ponds and shaded avenues of trees throughout it's 180 acres.

After we had walked nearly all the way around the park, and as we still had plenty of time left we hopped on one of those little diesel powered trains.
As we were on our way back, Sandra said I've just seen Cesar, well she couldn't get off that train quick enough, she ran back to where he was filming for his new show on Nat Geo, "The leader of the pack". I eventually managed to catch up, even with my bruised and blistered feet.
As people were passing by not giving him another thought, we smiled at him, he smiled back and waved at us, then he came over to us and asked us where we were from. Sandra always has her breakfast on Saturday and Sunday catching up with his current shows, and she told him as much, he then asked if we would like a photo, well you can imagine her answer, the producer took my camera and photographed the two of us with him. They were so nice smiling and chatting to us, what a way to end your holiday.
The one thing that did embarress me though was, after 44 years of marriage, my wife turned to Cesar and said "I love you Cesar"

All systems go, the plane was an hour late taking off, our train from Manchester was for some reason diverted and we arrived home at 2 am.
And so to bed.
