Harvard House

I went to town to meet Ann out of the Blue Cross shop and go for a coffee at Nero.   Before seeing her I had a wander round looking for a photo opportunity.

This is Harvard House on High Street, owned by Harvard University and looked after by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.  The building was built in 1596 by Thomas Rogers, grandfather of the benefactor of Harvard University, John Harvard.

For more information see Wiki

The extra is a close-up of part of the carvings on the front of the house. Next door is The Garrick which I've mentioned in previous blips (along with Abbot Ale ).
