A new gate

The objective of the new gate at the entrance to Hare Hill (National Trust) is to make the carriageway (the original driveway that runs from the garden entrance to Garden Lodge) appear more like it was originally.  The old gates (propped up against the fence) generally only had one half open and the carriageway was much more cluttered.

I spent Tuesday at Hare Hill day (volunteering for the National Trust) resurfacing paths in the woodland.  Very rewarding work when you can see the real difference you have made :-)
