Monarch caterpillar

After a marvellous afternoon chocolate tasting followed by a splendid visit to the orchids at the Quinta da Boa Vista, what do I choose to blip - one of the Monarch caterpillars on their favourite plant.

Our lovely driver Mister Umberto knew where these are and he remembered my enthusiasm for the fully grown Monarch butterflies, so he showed me these beauties.

I've put some orchids as extras. And there's one of Patrick, son of the owner, showing us an insect eating plant. (The chocolates were contenders too.). Definitely another trip to savour.
