Life through my eyes

Silly Saturday: Strange winged swan

This morning we had breakfast at The Farmers Table at Tortworth (delicious as always) and then went to Slimbridge even though it was a bit grey.  A lot of the migrants have left (all the lapwing, plovers, wigeon and 70 of the swans) so it was quite from a bird and people perspective (but very nice)!  The bird flu is now almost clear so the flamingoes should be allowed out again soon.

Today we managed to see the otters and the trio was going to be my Silly Saturday Blip (see extra), until right at the end when we spotted the swan being mugged by the gulls.  They were landing on it's head as well as it's back (see the collage in my extras) and we also saw a goldcrest (extra).  It was quite dark amongst the trees and he barely stayed still so this was the best shot I got.

Thanks again to Admirer for hosting Silly Saturday.
