A Long Skiing Day

By now, all our friends will know that we are cross-country skiing aficionados I am sure. Today was kind of extreme, even by our standards. The ladies' Vasaloppet, a classic Swedish ski race in the morning. Then the ladies' and later the men's skiathlon in the World Championships from Finland. Skiathlon means half the race in the classic style and then change of skis and the rest in freestyle or skate. Very nearly rocket science. I am with mum on the sofa and try to watch as much as I can. It sometimes is tiring.... We did get a bronze medal today. Yay!

Walkies will have to be squeezed into the intervals between races. Today was sunny, so I would have liked a nice long walkie but had to settle for a compromise. Oh well. Skiing means quality time with mum, so...
