On the Run

The Annual Senior Service Crew outing to Newcastle! Train from Waverley at 10am loaded with papers and coffees, and straight off the station to the Bridge. I fancied the young lads could pose in an inscrutable manner for a photo, in legendary rock band styleee, but someone shouted 'Band on the Run' and they instantly went into this, before they disappeared inside. Tsk.
So, gourmet pie of the day, several beers, and then soccer! Blow me but relegation threatened Bristol City went 2-0 up and Newcastle were well bossed. Game of two halves though - it ended 2-2 and was pretty decent. So, off to the Crown Posada afterwards and then the Centurion before loading up with M&S goodies for the train. And Scotland prevailed over Wales at rugby!
So, arriving at Waverley, was it straight home? You know, dear reader, it was!
