OB 235

8.5C with rain from mid morning then some brightness and clearing late afternoon. Sleet and hail showers later. Wind S/SSW/SSE/SW/W to 25 mph with gusts to 49 mph.

Maeve the Deerhound was up at 5.50am. After our walk I settled down to the puzzles in the Radio Times rather than go back to bed.

Grocery shopping over by mid morning. Maeve stayed at home. Too wet for a beach walk so we stayed in and had lunch and in the afternoon I watched Italy valiantly try to hang on but in the end lose to England in the 6 nations rugby. Pity.

At 5pm, with some blue sky around, we all went for a walk. We went round to the harbour, had a wander round the old quay, then went along past the ferry terminal to the park. Lots of fishing boats in today. We walked out to the end of the park. We came back along the street side of the park at which point a hail/sleet shower arrived out of nowhere, and came home through town passing the town hall and the bookshop (closed of course).
