A Day Worth Recording

Llamas

Apparently the Spanish for flames is llamas, and there's me thinking Llamas were those curious fluffy small-camel-like quadrupeds.

Perhaps Llamas are descended from Dragons... We should be told!

Anyway, back to the plot... We'd a number of piles of prunings from last weekend's, and previous, gardening sessions so suggested we had a bonfire . We created another pile while waiting for things (people, food, beer, weather, light) to resolve themselves.

Later, when J returned with Ellis he was pleased to be able to mark the passing of GCSE by adding Spanish, Exam and (Vogon-like) Poetry papers to the fire. He'd kept a particular pile for just this purpose.

That was the tentative point of using Spanish in the title, in case you missed it.

We continued the impromptu party feel (i.e. we'd all ended up standing around in the kitchen, chatting) by watching a Goodies, and, by accident, a QI. Caitlin is with us this weekend which is good; she may as well know what a bunch of, how shall we say, unconventional people M's family are.
