.... or St Dominic's Well - no, no idea how you should pronounce that correctly!

What a very pleasant day so far - we had an invitation for breakfast, pancakes on the menu. Delicious and what a view! How do you like yours? Lemon and sugar for me. See extra.

And shortly we shall be out for fish and chips and arthouse - tonight's offering may or may not appeal The First Monday in May about the annual fashion show put on at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, chaired by Vogue. Should we dress up in our fandangles and furbelows?? Just getting out my Oscar frock - what on earth happened yesterday, all down to thinking about Trump apparently.

In between that I have been wrestling with St Dominic - see info here  on new blog. I had seen this old postcard and was desperate to know if anything remained of this rather fine well. The curious Tower of Babel like structure was built as a shelter for pilgrims by a local eccentric who wore a wicker tiara on  Sundays - and why not! It was a real mission to get to, wading through a swampy floodplain. As you can see, not much remains of the poor old well but the pilgrims' castle is still there, now swathed in undergrowth, but surely still restorable. Last official entry for International Holy Well Month, but I think we can go on tagging IHWM17 should anyone come across a well in their adventures. Thanks so much to everyone who took part in the challenge, just click on the tag to see all the entries.
