Over the Rooftops

5.5C starting dry, then some light showers. Clearind to a bright sunny afternoon. Light SSE/E/ENE/E breeze.

Maeve the Deerhound was up at 5am. We went for a very short walk. Then back to bed!

Rather than a Fire Engine and firefighters on roofs today it was a crane and something going on up high in the distillery buildings. This view over the rooftops from an upstairs back bedroom.

Maeve and I went for a walk at 3pm when it was much brighter. We went round to the harbour, had a wander round the old quay, then went along past the ferry terminal to the park. Hardly any fishing boats in today. The pile of wood on the new quay is becoming mountainous. We walked out as far as the cemetery. The sea was lovely and blue and the air very clear. I got a great view across to Arran. We came back along the street side of the park and came home through town passing the town hall and the bookshop (open).
