Light my fire - five temperatures

I noticed the different colours in the fireplace and thought it was pretty.
I'm one of many fireguards at my workplace in case  we have a fire, and joined the regularly training and updates from the fire station.  It's a wake up call for all of us even if we know most of it from earlier trainings. How fast a fire spread is quite frightening!

In a house fire when the temperature is 600 - 1,000 degrees Celsius (1,112 - 1,832 degrees Fahrenheit) the flames will be red. The flames turn orange between 1000 - 1200 degrees Celsius (1832 - 2192 degrees Fahrenheit), and yellow between 1,200  - 1,400 degrees Celsius (2,192 - 2,552 degrees Fahrenheit). The flames often appear white when sending a variety of colours at the same time, meaning that they are really hot.
At warmer temperatures more than 1,400 degrees Celius the flame colour turn to blue-violet.

Even if a house fire is terrifying, a fire in the fireplace is soothing.
