Nos. 14, 15 & 16 Wood Street

Although all within the same old building, albeit with not very nice modern windows, these have been three seperate businesses, at least according to the 1891 parish detais. The family who lived in number 14 (Gemini) were Fruit and Veg merchants, the family consisted husband, wife, three sons, three daughters and the husband's mother. The two elder sons, 13 and 15, were working, the rest of the children at school. Apparently Moses Hands, and his wife Ann, at number 15 were Lic Vict & Corn Dlr, whilst number 16 was an Ironmongers. Both these houses also had servants, number 15 two, one 'general' and one 'boots'.
