Reflections on Harrison Stickle

A second long walk, this time from Elterwater (after another excellent scone and coffee at the cafe) up Great Langdale above the valley bottom, crossing over to New Dungeon Ghyll and continuing on to Old Dungeon Ghyll before yomping up to Blea Tarn and down to the Wrynose Pass Road turning left into Little Langdale and its Tarn. Retraced yesterdays steps in reverse over Slater's Bridge to Dale End farm and so back to Elterwater.

A thoroughly enjoyable day with some sunshine early on with spats of rain which turned more persistent in the afternoon. Wonderful views of Langdale Pike, Harrison Stickle and Pavey Ark and up into the wildness of Mickelden and the cloud shrouded summits of Crinkle Crags and Bow Fell.

A wilder walk than yesterday, rockier with less in the way of trees but nonetheless an uplifting experience which was also enjoyed by a good few other people too.
