SecondSeason

By SecondSeason

My Dad passed his old camera on to me a few years ago.  It's a 35mm Bessamatic made by Voigtländer in the 1960's.  It's not currently in working order but that's not really so important to me right now.  Maybe one day I'll see about getting it repaired.  My attachment to it is more personal.  The fact that it was my Dad's and that I have memories and photos of him taking pictures with it.  He had a passion for photography as well and told me recently of some of the long exposure experiments that he tried.  When I purchased my Canon 5D Mark II several years ago, he so much believed in my pursuit of getting more serious about photography, that he contributed some money towards it.  I'll never forget that.

This old Voigtländer sits on a shelf above my desk in my office and is a beautiful reminder of a man that loved photography enough to pass it on to me.
