High key

This ornamental prunus outside our kitchen window flowers pretty reliably around the end of February/beginning of March, whatever the weather. I can state this with confidence because I've blipped it every year since 2012. Today's high-key effect wasn't intentional, in fact I was originally trying to get backlit blossoms against a dark wall, but I liked this just as it came out of the camera.

We had a financial advice meeting in Béziers this morning which cleared up some confusion and left me feeling more optimistic about our future prosperity. We might be a bit strapped for cash just now, but it's only a passing phase! More paperwork looms however ...
