Little Miss Pink

When I was teaching we were all asked to take in our favourite book to celebrate World Book Day. To the surprise of the pupils I took in Little Miss Pink and shared it with them. They all loved the narrative and the delicate old fashioned illustrations. It is still my favourite book.

It was given to me on my 6th birthday by a special aunt and uncle. Little Miss Pink was first published in 1947 and the author was Rodney Bennett with illustrations by Astrid Walford. It is one of a series of stories about the adventures of a little mouse - who is of course humanised - as are most animals in children's literature.
