Spaces

It's been a quiet day today after all the busyness of yesterday. The dog walks have been punctuated by rain showers. At some points quite heavily but a fresh feeling enveloped me as I walked along the edge of the pavement avoiding the splashes of the passing cars.

It's also been a day of inspecting pots and pans and other kitchen equipment which has been stored since last June. A great deal of washing has been done and hopefully the imminent disposal of a few boxes of bits and pieces. All in readiness for our youngest ready to launch into a new beginning.

This was taken as the rain eased up and I stopped to take the picture before bringing home one very damp dog. I like the way the scale makes the subject difficult to determine and the shadow created by the effect of light through the rain.
