Salvage from the Wreckage

Shining a light on proceedings

It was a game of 12 halves this week. Played football every day - twice on Wednesday. Our first game of the 7 a side was going OK despite our lack of a proper keeper. Until Hamid, playing in goal, had a rush of blood to the head and ran past our defender to try to tackle the Estates striker. He didn't cover the 25 yards quickly enough and was lobbed. Oh well, early days. One of the teams in the following match was short of players so I played for them as well. Maybe I'll play for all 12 teams before the end?

The other analyst working on the same system has applied for and got a new job with another part of the University. Which means that, if the next phase of work gets approved, I'll be tied to it for at least 9 months. Sigh.

This week, I've been taking pictures using this slide projector (projecting slides, reflecting the light with tin-foil, playing with hand-drawn slides on acetate). I haven't caught up and published them all yet...

Fitted a replacement seatbelt to the TT today - the old one was very lazy about winding back. They don't make these cars easy to work on...

This evening, C is out. I'm thinking of watching the live DVD that came with the Public Services Broadcasting album...
