Curlew

This morning a trip up to  a little village near York in search of a rare Pine Bunting. Thankfully we managed to see it after a short wait as it came out of the bushes to feed on the ground in the field we was stood in. To distant to get a shot of it. I just enjoyed watching it for a few  minutes before it went back into the bush. Well happy as this was another new bird to add to my list of birds seen.
On the way home we stopped off at Alkborough flats to see what we could see. just after we arrived it really started to rain quite fast thankfully we was sat in the hide looking out on to the main  wader pool there. I have decided to blip this Curlew that was quite happy to be feeding away in the rain. Some other shots can be seen HERE including a Red shank where you can see the rain hitting the water.
Back home in the warm and dry now and no plans to go back out.
