Wood Carving of a Wren

I'd considered going out to capture a Derelict Sunday shot today but the weather's been wet-wet-wet all day in Macclesfield (maybe we should have stayed at home yesterday - the forecast for Newcastle for today was much better!).

So I chose to do an indoor blip. This carving of a (more-or-less lifesize) wren has always had pride of place in my Mum-in-Law's house. It was done many years ago by my late Father-in-Law who sadly died in 1990. My lighting setup was improvised (as it often is!) - using the ordinary light in the house plus the torch on my phone to achieve the highlight on the eye.
