Rainy Days & blurred vision

Lousy weather - rainy & cold (12°C) but it ought to be a special day for me so Angie offered to walk the dog and cycling is probably the best exercise to get her meniscus greased & back in form. She dressed with her borrowed German Army rain poncho (Lucky - she borrowed it back in the '80's and will return it when she retires from riding).
Flash has been suffering from very dry, itchy skin according to the vet caused by too much water/swimming. We think it is caused by harvest mites or as they are known in Germany "grass mites" and increasingly a problem here. Although related to the tick they carry no diseases but the itching is for man & animal very unpleasant. Very difficult to identify as so small & the itching is caused by the larvae boring in to the skin not the grown mite.
For the moment we will assume vet is right & hence the rain jacket he had to wear!
