Single Crocus

Spent the morning pruning the hazelnut tree.  Found a sole crocus hidden in the grass.  I usually have a cluster, but not this year:(  I was too exhausted from pruning to get down and take it in its natural habitat, so I took it indoors and experimented a bit with it.  Thinking about natural contrast I wanted to photograph it with a plain background the same colour as its Stamens  -  didn't have any cardboard the right colour so did my best with what I had.  To stand it upright I put it in a funnel turned upside down  -  place it on a windowsill and shot it in natural light. Tried some shots in RAW but honestly the JPEG ones came out best:)
