Maeve the Deerhound woke at 4am. I got her to go back to bed. Notably the chimney was a bit noisy. Maeve was back up 5am. Apothecary7 made one of the two Maeve related announcements that wake me instantly. "Maeve is crying". We went for a very short walk. Then back to bed!

Apothecary7 was up early too. This was a 7am start day. All go. Maeve and I went for another walk when I got up properly ... after 8am.

Maeve and I went for a walk after lunch. We went round to the harbour, had a wander round the old quay, then went along past the ferry terminal and out along the shore side of the park and out to the grass area near the cemetery. I had a seat and watched ships and boats going to and fro in the loch. It was all go out there too. First there was the Pilot boat and then FRI Ocean, fully loaded with wood, crossing the loch and heading out through the channel. M30 (HMS Ledbury) a Hunt-class mine countermeasures vessel of the Royal Navy was drifting out near the beacon, and two creel boats were working out in the loch. The Pilot boat came back in through the channel and, as usual, passed all the others at high speed.

We came back along the street side of the park and came home through town passing the town hall and the bookshop (closed).
