Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

At the London Plane

Fun Day.  Spent some time with friend S doing Gelli prints today.  New projects in mind including another “book”  with my writer friend.

And then we drove 1 hour in bad rain and horrid traffic (should have been 20 min.) to go to Pioneer Square to have dinner with an old friend/neighbor at the restaurant her daughter is half owner of, called London Plane.   We knew her from the day she was born as we lived next door and watched her Mom get her phD in theoretical physics.  She’s still working, doing research on things I can’t understand,  teaching and loving encouraging students to be scientists.  As well as getting organized with Trump’s Indivisible guide. (worth looking at if you are a resistor and haven't seen it) The building in the back is the new headquarters of Weyerhauser paper/forest management company .. ithe last time I was here it was a parking lot where I intended to park tonight!
We’ve moved apart so it’s really fun to have a catch up once in a while.   The daughter has an organic farm and grows organic flowers to sell here at this well designed restaurant/flowershop/deli/gifts, modeled after a European cafe.   It’s named for the plane trees outside (could be Provence?) in this old Seattle, art galleried (i used to have a studio here) part of town.  The extra is those plane trees with their winter lights, at 6PM.
