Signal Station.....

The signal station at the top of Cave Rock was used to signal vessels approaching the Sumner bar when the wharf at Ferrymead was used to unload cargo for Christchurch in the 19th century.

It has become a Christchurch landmark and was closed off for 6 years because of rock-fall danger created during the earthquakes. Great to see it's now open again for all to climb and explore.

A very busy day found me up early, out the door by 7am, dropped E at the bus just after 8am in the city, mum and I enjoyed breakfast at Scarborough looking out over the sea, visit to R which was just ok, a cuppa and slice for lunch as we weren't really hungry after a good breakfast, groceries, appointment for mum and home - phew!

And a lovely meal out with hubby celebrating our Wedding Anniversary of 31 years - time has flown by :)

I'm late getting this up as it's now several days later but think I'll add it to bliplink01 challenge by Wendles56. I'm a little puzzled by this challenge so hope it fits.

Happy Wednesday everyone :)
