i got home to northumberland at lunchtime today to find four people instead of the expected two nibbling cheese sticks and swilling wine - no prob, you think, but my parents' cottage is pretty tiny, so it was a little crowded around the lunch table! first of a recurring pattern of nibbles/soup/cheese board lunches that left us stuffed enough not to need more than scrambled eggs and a walnut whip for dinner...
