Glasgow in Bronze

Walking from Queen St station to Glasgow central (en route to Wales) we passed this new small bronze installation in Buchanan St.

It’s a cast of the city centre showing the grid structure of the city streets.

We set off this morning by train for Wales and have just arrived in Crickhowell.

Staying again in the Bear hotel, a 16th century coaching inn, we marvel at the cosmopolitan nature of this former tiny Border Welsh town.  The staff are from Portugal, Spain and the Philippines.  Oh yes we did finally meet a Welsh member of staff, a young girl from the Swansea Valley.
