A little nut tree.

What a beautiful warm day. Warm enough to have coffee outside! Positively tropical after last weeks arctic temperatures in Canada.
I noticed these pretty catkins blowing in the breeze. They are hazel nut catkins on a twisted hazel bush Corylus avellana Contorta  I believe, the original of which was a natural mutation found at Frocester court estate Gloucestershire in 1863.
Mono Monday theme DOF. ( very shallow in this case )
Hosted by Skeena.
