Old mile marker

This is interesting to me because it must be dated before 1871 when the GPO changed Tunbridge to Tonbridge. It is located , as you might expect, on a London Road.   I wonder how many London Roads there are in the country?  The Tonbridge by-pass was built in 1971 and before that this road was the A21; the main road from London to Hastings.
