Ferry Point, Dingwall

Anne picked me up at 7.30 am and we went to the Puffin Pool. I went for a walk at Ferry Point afterwards. It was warm but not as sunny as the forecast had said. It was still a nice walk, abit muddy in places.Teal and wigeon were almost left in the dry as the tide was out. It was actually hard to see the edge of the water looking towards the Cromarty Bridge as it was so far out.
The two gulls that nest in the poles of the old Ferry structure were sitting still. A mass of possible knot and a few redshanks were on the mud banks. Chaffinch, collared doves, pigeons, starlings were feeding on the food that's behind by a local who feeds the birds. The coconut smell from the gorse filled the air.
Mike picked me up just before it started to rain.
