Japanese Quince

This spring for some reason the snowdrops have been prolific and the Japanese Quince (Chaenomeles Japonica) is full of flowers. It has been good to have a day in the garden yesterday, clearing up dead wood, planting seeds and building a bonfire from the hedge clippings and the apple tree which was felled by Storm Doris.
Now the clouds are closing in and unsettled cloudy and rainy weather is on the way. I managed to take this shot just before the bright sun vanished. Hope to see it again before long, it has been good for the spirits!
