Black Forest birthday

It's my birthday today and unfortunately it fell on a day I have to work so it wasn't till tea time that I got to spend quality time with the boy and the beaut.

The boy treated me to a beef stew and Black Forest gateaux for pud. It was lovely although he did forget the candles and a burning match stuck in a cherry didn't have the same effect.

Present opening before Esther went to bed, I followed shortly after with my new book, once I had watched the great pottery Throwdown of course, I'm a little obsessed!

For once the boy didn't get me a holiday for my birthday, I think he's going off me!
