EP1: Exposure

I thought I'd have a go at Markus Hediger's new Experimental Photography Challenge. I'm not sure how experimental it looks but I can assure you it was! Taken in the early hours of this morning, I propped my camera on top of my printer (both tripods were in the car and I didn't wish to venture out at that time of night!), grabbed a couple of beautiful silk flags, a torch and the remote, switched to manual mode and fiddled a bit with the settings, then turned the lights out and tried waving both the flags and the torch about. See - I told you it was experimental - not what you would normally find me doing at that time of night! :)) The resulting images were very underexposed, despite the slow shutter speed, so I slid a few sliders in Lightroom and rather liked the end result!

It was fun experimenting - thanks for the idea, Markus!

As an aside, I just discovered a tin in the cupboard containing three mince pies (!).... I've eaten one..... tasted fine...... I decided the packet of Jaffa Cakes dated 2014 were just a little too old! :))

Thank you so much for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts for yesterday's long exposure image - I'm blipping very early, so you may have missed it - do take a look, if you have time!

Ann :))
