Skywalk

Looking down 4,000 feet at the sheer drop, 21m from the rim through the glass floor on the Skywalk to the floor of the Grand Canyon did nothing for my insides which clenched at the view; magnificent though it was!

This has always been at the top of my Bucket List and was ticked off today. Lucky me! The 'wow' factor was staggering: not just the size and scale but the magnificence of the colours layered in the rocks. 

We drove from Vegas to the Hoover Dam early this morning, had breakfast at Lake Mead by accident as the sat nav didn't like the co-ordinates. then motored to Eagle Point to see the canyon. Stunning day.
