Whatever happened to?

OMG - 20 Blackheath Rise 35 years on!!

The weekend of coincidences just seem to continue. This is our first student house (for Goldsmiths) where a rather unkempt and very unruly set of '18 somethings' first came together. A more diverse bunch you could not imagine. My blip friend 'Eyecatcher' was here at the same time as me. I started off in the front room with the bay window on the ground floor sharing with a lad called Billy from Jarrow. I never understood a word he said but ironically ended up in 'Geordieland' myself!

The comedian Julian Clary shared a room with our mate Nick on the very top front of the building and another friend ended up as a regular in Jools Holland's big band. It goes on and on - even with another room mate flying Jumbos to the Far East. It is really amazing where your Uni friends end up. You could not write the script! Goodness knows where all the others over the years are now...

After this...a gentle stroll across Blackheath and down to Greenwich, the Cutty Sark and the old Maritime college (Greenwich university) and Olympic equestrian area.

Nostalgia is what it used to be!
