Penny Black

It was a dull day in Leatherhead this morning as I looked for my blip, then round a corner I came across this bright planted basket. It was one of a pair on the entrance to a pub yard. The pub, which is housed in a former large Edwardian Post Office, is called "The Penny Black" It took on this name when it was first converted. Then a brewery chain bought it and immediately changed its name. There was such an outcry that they had to change it back, and "The Penny Black" it remains.
