Wentworth Castle Gardens

Inspired by Lovelupins17 (and her sad news that the gardens will be closing) me & Mrs MD decided to visit before the closure happened.
It was a good decision - awful weather in Hebden Bridge as we left - sunshine and blue sky when we got to Wentworth Castle Gardens (Nr. Barnsley).
The house/castle isn't open to the public, but the 60 acres of gardens were.  The highlight is the magnificent Victorian glasshouse restored in 2013 at a cost of £3.7m. - see my extras.
It seems an awful shame that the gardens are going to close after so much money and effort has been spent - maybe there is hope, but it doesn't sound too promising.
