Lochranza, Arran

Another nostalgic day here on Arran with memories aplenty, even though so much has changed on the island.

While D#1 went for a run this morning I walked along the beach in beautiful sunshine and a fierce wind (first extra), then we spent the day driving clockwise round the island on the coastal road.

One of the places we stopped at was the village of Lochranza with its famous ruined castle. The yellow of the gorse was a prominent feature all over the island, so I've included an extra of the castle with some gorse in the foreground.

The other extra shows how Ailsa Craig has mysteriously moved to the other side of Pladda since yesterday.

Soooo lucky with the weather again although we could have done without that wind.

Sorry, am way behind on comments and journals, but hope to catch up later this week once I'm back at Minty-and-Pookie's.
