Branching Out

Hitting the Grand Canyon hard again today - this time the South Rim with a western tour. You might think you have seen it before but each point was just as stunning as the next.

I have to say there are some amazingly stupid people out there. My stomach lurched quite a few times over the last days seeing the absolute ridicuous lengths  people would go to to get a photograph of themselves. Standing on overhanging ledges, inches from the edge of precipitous drops - utterly unbelievable. I have pictures .... There was one woman the other day who let her children, in fact directed her children onto the edge to sit for a photo. Jeez ......everyone just looked in utter horror. I had to look away at this point as there was wind too and anything could have happend. 

Fortunately we have survived to tell the tale and are having a great time. Spending the night at Page near the Colorado River. Am just fascinated by the rock formations and the colours.
