Waves, Islay, and Jura

6.8C cold, dry, bright, with a layer of cloud. N/NE/NNE/ENE moderate breeze with gusts to 33 mph.

Maeve the Deerhound slept through until the alarm clock. Unexpected. She is looking decidedly brighter. We are wondering whether it has just taken the Metacam this long to properly ease the arthritis. Possibly. Observations continue.

Apothecary7's day off in lieu.

About 10am we went to Westport beach with Maeve and had a long walk towards Machrihanish. It was more sheltered on the West side of the peninsula so it was very pleasant for walking. Maeve seemed quite happy, and had a good bark at a bouncy Golden Retriever on the way back along the beach. The waves were rather spectacular. There was a little snow on Islay and more on the mountains of Jura. No surfers.

Glenbarr for lunch.

Later Apothecary7 continued her most recent painting.
