A Grand Day Out

It was indeed a 'Grand Day Out' - albeit a wet one.
Mrs MD & myself tripped off to York today on NorthernRail (courtesy of a lovely gift from a fellow blipper).  The journey was a novel experience for me - rail travel is a rare event - and I did enjoy it.
The rain did its best to put a damper on the day - but failed.  We had an excellent lunch in Betty's Tearoom, Stonegate (see extra) and spent some quality time in York Minster. Mrs. MD's blip has a bit more detail.
A wet day - but a Grand Day :-)
