Stijlish

De Stijl is a Dutch artistic movement, which is currently celebrating its 100th birthday, and the Hague is covered in little nods to perhaps its most famous exponent, Mondriaan. And then there's the town hall, colour blocks on a grand scale. I don't normally like modern art, but there's something about Mondriaan than I like. Maybe it's just the old La Vie Claire cycling jerseys...

A day spent primarily indoors. Presentations are given and received, mine near the end brightened by numerous cartoons. And we're done. With a few hours till the late flights home, the Edinburgh crew heads round the corner to a bar that had been pointed out to me the night before on the walk home from the Cook School. Beer and a burger. Relax.

It's tiring enough watching presentations all day, but knowing that you're on show and can never completely wind down adds to that. It's been good; but the alcohol and sustenance are most welcome.

Home without incident, though not in till almost midnight, after being up since 5am UK time. But time for a cuppa. Got to be in the office for 9 tomorrow. There are emails. So many emails.
