Foxhangers (Tuesday 21st March 2017)

Another canal blip, but a section that I haven't visited in quite a while since so much of it was made inaccessible to the public. I have been expelled from two or three spots close to here in the past, but here I was on the towpath and they can't touch you for it!

This is the entrance to the private Caen Hill Marina just beyond the bottom of the Caen Hill flight. I had pulled over at Martinslade and walked the short distance to the Spout Lane bridge at Sells Green, where I met a canal cat that seemed to have an ambiguous relationship with the owner's budgie. I then doubled back to Foxhangers before returning to the car.

The swan in the picture is completely incidental ;-).

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
George Harrison - Be Here Now (recorded October 1972 - January 1973, Apple Studios, London)
George Harrison (vocal, guitar),  Klaus Voorman (bass), Nicky Hopkins, Gary Wright (keyboards), Ringo Starr, Jim Keltner, Jim Gordon (drums), Jim Horn (saxophone, flute), Zakir Hussein (tabla), John Barham (string arrangement)
I was reminded of this track from Living In The Material World that inspired an Oasis album title when reading a review of a CD reissue of it whilst sitting on a towpath bench.
