Wild Indigo Duskywing

This butterfly is a new one to me. Which isn't to say that I've never seen one before - I may well have - but I've never noticed one before. Or attempted to identify it. Which proved to be not all that difficult as I found a photo in one of my butterfly guide books. It's a Wild Indigo Duskywing. One of what the book referred to as the dreaded LBJs of the butterfly world. Confusing little brown jobs! It's not a large butterfly. Probably about an inch and a half across at the widest point. If I were keeping a life list of butterflies this would be a new one for my list!! Yay!
