Craqueleur

Another cattle phalanx, this one was thrown into the ashes of a fire, and got a bit heated. Love the tiny cracks on the joint surface.
Strangely, although the word "bonfire" derives from 'bone fire', we find few signs of piles of burnt animal bone. Maybe the ash was spread on the fields and lost to the archaeological record...
