No ballet kids

Endless Weekend and I went to our fourth performance of this ballet season today, but unfortunately there were almost no children there and I wan't able to get the shots I wanted.  So here is a view from the Dress Circle, where our seats are, down into the orchestra below.

The program consisted of three contemporary ballets, all beautiful and exciting.  But the standout was a wonderful piece entitled "Her Window to the Sky," inspired by the life and art of Georgia O'Keefe.  Everything about it was perfect, not just the choreography (by Jessica Lang) and the music (Benjamin Britten), but the costumes, the lighting, and the simple set.  We loved it, and are delighted that we will see it again next season.  It left a blissful feeling, which quickly dissipated as we tried to get from the Opera House to Highway 99 so we could go home.  The traffic there is just intolerable, and a real mood killer.  But that ballet left lovely memories.
