St Cyrus Nature Reserve

Almost unheard of!  Three sunny days on the trot:-)  Took a drive with TJ up the east coast, stopping at the sea front in Montrose for our picnic lunch and then heading to St Cyrus Nature Reserve for a walk on the beach and by the cliffs.  

It was the first visit for TJ, although I have been before with friend L. and he really enjoyed it all.  Plenty of nesting birds on the cliffs for him to see with binoculars, several buzzards and a beautiful beach.  Have included some extras that caught my eye.

We drove back via Arbroath and stopped for fish & chips at the harbour.  Fortunately we sat in the car to eat them or this cheeky fellow sitting on my car bonnet would have had some too!  (See Extras).  The haar was drifting in from the sea, but once inland it was clear again and the sun is still shining:-)
