Boats Moored on the Seine

Captured from the bridge at Place de la Concorde, with Notre Dame and the dome of the Pantheon in the far background (the bar on the upper right is the extension of a construction crane).   I was returning from a visit to two exhibitions at the Fondation Custodia*--much the more interesting focused on Dutch 17th century drawings in relationship to paintings (it had been in Washington DC, but we missed it there.  The other show presented a private collection of German drawings over three centuries.

*The institution houses the Frits Lugt  collection--mostly drawings, and supports related research, publications and exhibitions.

Posted late the next day.
