Ally Pally

The giant exhibition hall at Alexandra Palace (commonly known as Ally Pally) is home this week to a WI Fair. Our WI organised a coach as it would be a complicated journey by public transport. It was bad enough by coach, taking us more than two hours to get back.
It was a huge fair with lots to see and lots to buy. There were workshops and demonstrations too. I was quite restrained, buying just a cardigan and some embroidery threads. They are such a beautiful blend of colours they will surely be a blip one day.
Alexandra Palace is a remarkable building and my extra is a view of the entrance hall. It is most famous as the first home of the BBC but those days are long gone.
